CQI - Thames Valley - Gerald Smith Award for 2012

Congratulations to Lucy Chiri who received the CQI - Thames Valley Branch - Gerald Smith Award, as QM&T Best CQI Students of the Year 2012. 

Lucy is a Biomedical Scientist from the Microbiology department at the Royal Free Hospital.  Receiving her award, Lucy said: "Quality is the backbone of what we do in the laboratory.  We ensure that patient samples are appropriate for the required tests, analyse them and report results through a computer system that is linked to the wards and GP surgeries.  I'm truly humbled by this award.  It has strengthened my resolve to pusue a career in quality.  My aspiration is to be in a quality oriented role and ultimatley becoming a Chartered Quality Practitioner."

CQI John Loxham Awards

World Quality Day celebrations came to Edinburgh as the city proudly hosted the Chartered Quality Institute's annual John Loxham seminar and quality awards at Murrayfield Stadium.  It was here that QM&T, once again won the John Baron Award for the Best CQI Education Centre.

Attended by over 100 quality professionals from all over the world, the CQI Awards in quality give finalist, winners and CQI graduates well deserved recognition for their individual achievements.  John Frame, CQI's CEO said "This annual event presents the opportunity for individuals to demonstrate to their organisations, customers and supply chain that they have been successful in their efforts and that their hard work has been recognised by the leading professional body in the industry."
